Series: The Courage to Be Protestant
Sermon Title: Solo Christo
Text: 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; John 14:6
How do we make ourselves right with God? How do we approach God? How can we be saved? In the time of the Reformation, only by jumping through the Church’s religious hoops could anyone hope to know God or be saved. But biblical Christianity since the Reformation has insisted that Jesus is the only sacrifice necessary to make us right with God, the only mediator between God and man, and the only way to God. In our pluralistic world, it still takes courage to stand for - and to proclaim - the exclusivity of the gospel.
