First Steps Lunch
Are you new to Capitol City? Or just wondering how you might get involved beyond Sunday mornings? We realize that it is daunting to try to connect for the first time in a new place. However, what we all really need is meaningful relationships with other believers in the church. We need to know and be known by other Christians.
If you are interested in learning more about Capitol City, the First Steps lunch is for you! First Steps is casual, informal, and designed for the whole family. You’ll get a quick introduction to some of our leaders and staff, plus hear a little bit about what makes Capitol City “work.” Best of all, we’ll come alongside you and help you find the perfect way to connect here.
You can RSVP to the next First Steps lunch by going to our events page or by calling our church office at 402.467.4458.
Does it really matter if I’m a member or not? Why do I have to take a class to even become a member? Why do I have to sign anything? People sometimes ask these questions about our membership process, skeptical as to why there seem to be so many “hoops” to jump through. Is all this really necessary?
Here at Capitol City, we take church membership seriously. Committing to a body of believers is not a small thing. But it’s also wonderful. When Covenant Members join, they commit to a spiritual family that provides encouragement and support. They are called to a biblical degree of responsibility, service, and sacrifice to their brothers and sisters. Our elders and pastors also pledge to assist our Covenant Members with care, counsel, prayer, and teaching.
If you are ready to consider covenant membership here at Capitol City, we encourage you to sign up for our next Covenant Membership class by going to our events page or calling the church office at 402.467.4458.
